I think real moments are the best ones. My style is all about getting real, honest emotions, and natural photos.
Forget the posed. I want you to look back on your memories and be able to relive those moments exactly as they happened. I want you to feel those same emotions you felt together while creating those memories. 

My objective is for you to feel like we’ve known each other for years because that’s going to allow me to capture your love from the inside out and outside in. I want the experience to be everything you dreamed of and more.

You can expect to be reminded of the power and beauty of your love story by laughing until it hurts and running around like weirdos. I will never try to change you into something you aren't; instead, I will give you the freedom to be the fullest version of yourself because I believe that's where beautiful imagery emerges. This isn’t a photoshoot for Vogue, you’re much more interesting than that.

I am a full-time wedding & engagement photographer who has been serving the Nashville, TN area (and beyond) for 6 years. I grew up in a very small Missouri town where pretty much everyone knows everyone, and corn/cotton fields are visible as far as the eye can see. With not much opportunity in such a small town, I decided to pack up and move to Nashville in 2012 to pursue my passion as a wedding photographer full-time.

It's your wedding day! You get to plan the wildest and most gorgeous celebration you can think of! Now that you have the opportunity to plan the wedding of your dreams, begin by keeping a journal dedicated only to your dream wedding. Make a note of every little detail you can think of so you have a quick reference and don't forget any of your brilliant ideas! What mood do you wish to convey? Where do you want to get married? What do you want to feel and experience as a couple on the most important day of your life?

Now that you have a vision for your big day, you’re already halfway there with your budget. Making a budget will assist you in keeping track of all of your costs and in seeing the bigger picture. Budgeting will also guide you in planning the remainder of your wedding as you determine what you want and don't want, where you want to spend and where you want to save a little money. This brings us to your must-haves: the things you will establish as your non-negotiable’s will receive the majority of your budget so that you can bring your dream wedding into reality.

You will save money on rentals and decorative items if you choose a wedding venue that does not require much decorations. Allow nature’s beauty to do the work for you in outdoor areas with stunning views!

Let's face it: your wedding is both the best and most stressful day of your life. I usually advise my couples to do a first look since it allows you to have a quiet moment with your partner away from the crowds at the ceremony. You get to take take a break from the hustle and bustle to spend some quality time with each other and soak up the love and excitement. This will also allow room in the timeline to knock out wedding party formals prior to the ceremony, which means you’ll have more time later in the day to hang out with your friends and family!

5 Wedding Day Tips

  • The Timeline

    Create a detailed, hour-by-hour wedding day timeline to guarantee your wedding day runs smoothly. This will help you stay organized, stress-free, and on time. Share your wedding day timetable with your wedding party, wedding coordinator/planner, photographer, caterer, florist, and other vendors once you've completed it so that everyone is on the same page.

    While most weddings follow the same format, the order in which these events occur may differ based on your preferences. It’s not a one size fits all. Please feel free to talk to me about the specifics of your day and I can help you work it out!

  • It’s all in the details

    You have most likely spent time carefully picking various details of your wedding and I enjoy photographing them as part of your day's story. Ideally, you’ll want to gather all of your wedding details and have it available for me to shoot when I arrive. I'll begin taking detail photographs while your hair and makeup are being done. I suggest gathering these items in a box ahead of time. I’ll share a list prior to your wedding day that will go over what you’ll need to have ready for these photos.

  • First Look

    Choosing to do a first look gives you a safe space to be emotional and enjoy the moment. After seeing each other for the first time, you can hug, kiss, twirl, and get a good look at each other without feeling rushed. First look photos give you a moment in your crazy day to tell each other how much you love each other in private.

    I'm a sucker for first looks, so it goes without saying that I love them, but this isn't about me. So, if you prefer to stick to the traditional way, that's fine! I never want my couples to feel like I'm pressuring them to have a first look, but I do want you to be informed!

  • Prepare a family formal shot list

    My goal is for you to have the most enjoyable and efficient family photos possible! While they may appear daunting, I am here to make them go smoothly. Before your wedding, I will request a shot list so that I can get all of the family photo combinations you want. This way, I can have my assistant or a friend/family member of yours call out who is up next and we won't forget any shots that you listed.

  • Hire vendors you trust

    Whether it be your florist, caterer, DJ, wedding coordinator or photographer, finding vendors who are experienced and will help to make your day memorable and stress-free is so important. Take your time and listen to your gut when hiring your wedding vendor team. If you need help finding vendors, I’m happy to share my preferred vendor list, which will guarantee your day will be beautiful and stress-free!

You ready to commit to this third wheel relationship? HELL YEAH! I require a signed contract from you and your significant other, and a 50% non-refundable retainer to reserve your date. The remaining balance for weddings is due 30 days prior to the date, and for couples sessions, the balance is due 1 week prior.

FAQ

  • DO YOU CHARGE FOR TRAVEL?

    I only charge a travel fee for any locations 50+ miles roundtrip. That fee is $0.50/mile. Locations that require a flight will be quoted on an individual basis prior to booking.

  • HOW & WHEN WILL WE GET OUR PHOTOS?

    For weddings, you can expect to receive your photos 9-12 weeks post wedding date, and for couples sessions, 2-3 weeks. All final images are delivered through a private online gallery where you will be able to view, download and print your images. All delivered files will be in high resolution JPG format.

  • WHEN SHOULD WE BOOK OUR WEDDING OR SESSION?

    I highly encourage you to book as soon as possible. I take on a limited amount of weddings and sessions per month so that I can really customize the experience each of my couples have with me and that allows me to focus more of my time with you.

  • WHAT IF WE NEED TOCANCEL/RESCHEDULE?

    If you have already secured your date with a retainer and have to cancel or reschedule, the retainer is legally non-refundable. A new retainer will be required to reserve a new date.

  • WHAT IF THERE’S BAD WEATHER?

    I always encourage my couples to go with the flow, as some weather can really make your photos unique. However, if I know the weather could ruin my gear, we’ll definitely reschedule.

  • DO YOU GIVE RAW UNEDITED IMAGES/FILES?

    I do not give RAW files. Editing is half the process, and without that, you’re photos are unfinished.
